BHOPAL: Residents of E-4 Arera Colony are dreading rains due to water-logging caused by over flowing drains allegedly created by the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) near an empty ground.
Residents of E-4 Arera colony behind 10 number market allege that the corporation has constructed a 2 feet deep drain without any outlet. “There was no need of any drain here.

Water was smoothly flowing on the roads . But after the construction of this drain, water accumulates here over flowing the drain and creating problems like water logging in this area,” AS Chawla, a resident of Arera colony said.
This drain was constructed two months ago. When the residents opposed to this, the engineers at the sight said, “The BMC administration has sanctioned money for the construction of this drain, therefore we have to do it.”
Apparently, the corporation officials are not aware of this. “We sanction so much construction work at a time. We are not aware of the trouble faced by the residents. We will personally visit the place and try to solve this matter,” BMC additional commissioner Pramod Shukla told TOI.
